Young people are dressing up their moms to look like themselves, and the results are staggering. As if injected with water from the fountain of youth, the mothers in this trend make you question the impact fashion really has on our perception of age.
This trend really shows how aging is sometimes just rooted in our perception of what’s modern a lot of them looked decades younger pic.twitter.com/s4nMv6g8x0

Not only do the mothers look right at home in modern clothing, but they seem more energetic as well. Perhaps that's the effect of dressing to impress, and having a good time with your children. So how much does fashion really impact our perception of age? The answer is likely more than we think. Take this tweet for example.

I think about this a lot. Like for example, Elizabeth Taylor being only 16 here is unbelievable, but if you put some modern 16 year old hair and makeup on her suddenly it makes sense pic.twitter.com/oVU4RFb0oJ

Of course, genetics and health will always play a factor when it comes to aging with grace. But just maybe, if we slap on some young people's clothes every now and then, we won't be able to help but feel some youthful energy. Age is just a number after all.
This prolly my fave bc her mom should definitely model pic.twitter.com/CfJaDyJRZc
